LUMBINI
Lumbini associated with the birth of Lord Buddha is of extreme archeological importance and also a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site. It is said that Prince Siddhartha Gautam, who later became Buddha the Englightened One, was born in the gardens of Nepal’s Lumbini in 623 B.C. The main shrines of Lumbini are the newly restored Mayadevi Temple, the Ashokan Pillar behind the temple and the Lake Shakya Puskarini where Mayadevi is said to have bathed before delivering the little Buddha into the world.Several other places near Lumbini are linked with stories connected to Buddha and Buddhism. Lumbini is about 300 kilometers southwest of Kathmandu. Bus and flights to Bhairawa which is about 22 kilometers from Lumbini, are available from major cities. From Bhairawa transport services to Lumbini are easily available. Food and accommodation facilities are available in Lumbini and Bhairawa.

Nestled in the lap of Snow Mountains, the verdant Kathmandu Valley abounds in archaic temples, shrines and palaces that reflect its glory of the bygone era. Later visit the Kathmandu Darbar Square, Patan Darbar Square (Both UNESCO World Heritage Sites). Patan is the oldest and second largest city of three main cities in Kathmandu valley. Swayambhunath Gompa – it is one of the most magnificent Buddhist Chaityas in the world. It is believed to be 2000 years old structure. Overnight in Five star hotel in Kathmandu
DAY 03: FULL DAY SIGHSEEING INCLUDING

Morning take an excursion to the ancient city of Bhadgaon. Later in the day take a tour of Pashupatinath – one of the very sacred temples for Hindus dedicated to Lord Shiva and Bodhnath – one of the largest Stupas of Nepal and also is one of the ancient Buddhist stupas. In the evening, you would be taken to Nagarkot for a panoramic Mountain View and experience sunset on the Himalayas. Stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 04: AFTER BREAKFAST NAGARKOT DRIVE TO POKHARA

In the morning after having leisurely breakfast, drive further for beautiful town Pokhara. Rest of the time is free at the discretions. In the evening take an enjoyable boating over the pretty Fewa Lake. Stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 05: AFTER BREAKFAST DRIVE TO SARANGKOT

Pokhara area shows the greatest contrast in landscape. Nowhere in the world can the highest mountains reaching 8000 meters level be admired from such small distance and from the tropical lowland without any intermediate mountain ranges. Pokhara is certainly one of the most extraordinary and beautiful places in the world.
Today take a daylong sightseeing tour of Pokhara visiting Seti George, Bindhebasini Temple, Tibetan refugee Camp and Davis fall. Stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 06: AFTER BREAKFAST DRIVE TO CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK

CHITWAN
The Royal Chitwan National Park, Nepal’s first ever national park lies at the foot of the Himalaya in the Inner Terai lowlands of Chitwan. Covering an area of 932 sq. kilometers the park extends over decidous forest foothills and river floodplains. The park is rich in its variety of vegetation and wildlife. The park provides one of the last habitats for endangered species like the Asiatic one-horned rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal tiger. Royal Chitwan National Park was officially established in 1973 and included as Natural Heritage Site in 1984.
In the morning proceed to one of the largest and well-known safaris in Asia – The Chitwan National Park. Rest of the time is kept free to enjoy the natural beauty.
DAY 07: FULL DAY JUNGLE ACTIVITIES

The day will be used in taking various thrilling jungle activities like elephant safari, escorted jungle walk, bird watching tour along with a naturalist, canoe ride, Tharu stick dance and slide show.

Have breakfast and drive to Lumbini – the birth place of Lord Buddha. On arrival at Lumbini, check-in the hotel. Later visit the birth place of Lord Buddha. The prime attractions of Lumbini are the Maya Devi Temple, the Sacred Garden and the Ashokan Pillar – that was erected by Mighty Emperor Ashoka the great in 249 BC.
DAY 09: AFTER BREAKFAST DRIVE TO BHAIRAWA

After having breakfast drive back to Kathmandu and check in to the hotel. Rest of the time is kept free at your discretion. Stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 10: FINAL DEPARTURE TO BACK HOME
At appropriate time, you will be transferred to Kathmandu international airport to embark the flight back to the onward destination.

KATHMANDU:
Is known as Kantipur, the capital of the kingdom of Nepal. Here you will visit the temple of living goddess who acknowledges the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence. Kastamandap- the source of the name Kathmandu and supposed to be made from the timber of a single tree and the Durbar square are with its array of temples overlooked by the Hanuman Dhoka palace, the ancient place of the Nepalese Royalty.
SWYAMBHUNATH:
Located approximately 4 km/2.5 miles, this Buddhist stupa is said to be 2000 years old. The stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. This hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagoda temples.
PATAN:
5 kms/3 miles away from Kathmandu city. Patan also known as Lalitpur, is the city of fine arts, enclosed within 4 stupas said to be built in 3 rd century AD, by Emperor Ashoka. You will see the Durbar square, Krishan Temple built by King Siddhi Narsingh Malla, Hiranya Varna Mahavihar and Mahabouddha Temple.

PASHUPATINATH
Situated 5 km east of Kathmandu city, Pashupatinath temple is one of the holiest temples dedicated to lord shiva. Situate amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple built in pagoda style has glint roof and richly cared silver doors. Visitors will be permitted to view the temple from the east bank of Bagmati River, entrance in the temple being strictly forbidden to all non Hindus. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. Behind the temple are the cremation grounds.
BOUDHANATH
This stupa, 8 km east of Kathmandu city, is one of the biggest in the world of its kind. It stands with four pairs of eyes in the four cardinal direction keeping watch for righteous behavior and human prosperity. The Buddhist Stupa was built by king Man Deva at the advice of the Goddess Mani Jogini. It is built on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels. The shrine is ringed by houses of Lamas or Buddhist priest.
NAGARKOT
Nagarkot is one of the most scenic sport situated about 35 km east of Kathmandu from where an excellent view of snow- capped peaks of the Himalayan rangers in eastern Nepal can be seen ( if weather permits), as well as renowned for he spectacular sunrise.

BHAKTAPUR
Also known as Bhadgaun meaning the city of devotees, this place is the home of medieval art and architecture. Lying 14km/9 miles of Kathmandu city, this place was founded in the 9th century and is shaped like a conch shell. The city is at the height of 4600 ft. above sea level. In bhadgaon you will visit the Durbar square with its array of temples overlooked by the palace of 55 windows built by king Bhupatindra mall. Here you will also visit the Taleju temple which is the best example of pagoda style structure in Nepal and stands on five terraces on each of which stands a pair of figures, two strong men, two elephants, two lion’s two griffins and two goddesses.
