      Chulu West Peak Climbing

      You will get an opportunity to cross the famous Thorong La pass and explore the beautiful and ancient Manang valley.

      Journey to the peak of Chulu West starts with a short flight to Khudi form Kathmandu. Leaving Manang behind, we will them trek to the base camp of Chulu West. From here, we will start our difficult and challenging climb to reach the summit of this beautiful mountain.

      Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1400m):

      Namaste and welcome to the country of Nepal. You will be welcomed by our representative in the Tribhuvan International Airport and then transferred to our hotel in Kathmandu. At evening, you will be welcomed by an authentic Nepalese cuisine in one of the typical Nepalese restaurants of Thamel and then we will do a briefing about the itinerary of our trip. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

      Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing including Bhaktapur and Lalitpur:

      After an early morning breakfast, we will head towards the beautiful and ancient places of Kathmandu valley which includes the world heritage sites, temples, places and other many beautiful things. Talking about Kathmandu, this place is a paradise to the tourists of all over the world and one can get an opportunity to relax his/her body form head to toe by doing the sightseeing of some of the iconic things of the world. You will be taken to Pashupatinath temple which is one of the most religious and historical temples of Kathmandu. Thousands of devotees from Nepal, India and all over the world come to this ancient temple for their rituals and celebrations. After the visit of Pashupatinath, we will drive for 15-20 minutes to do the sightseeing of Bouddhanath stupa. After exploring these historical monuments, we will be doing the sightseeing of ancient Durbar squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Visiting Lalitpur and Bhaktapur will give you an opportunity to see the living goddess, Kumari and explore the ancient streets filled with arts and architects. A refreshing evening walk on the streets of Thamel and Basantapur will make you feel Kathmandu a really cool and historical place and you will also explore lots of new things in these streets. At afternoon, we will be back to our hotel and do the briefing of Everest Expedition trip. You will be guided about some of the important rules and suggestions for the trip such as what is your responsibility, what to do and what not to do on the trek? You will be then introduced to your fellow expedition staffs and guides and relax the hotel after dinner. Overnight at Hotel

      Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Syanje/Jagat:

      We will begin our today’s trek with a long drive to Jagat. After breakfast, we will leave Kathmandu at 7 a:m and then drive to Jagat passing the Besi Sahar. This route gives you an opportunity to do the sightseeing of rivers, terrace fields, landscapes and other many beautiful things. Leaving Besi Sahar behind, we will reach Jagat. Overnight at Jagat.

      Day 04: Jagat to Dharapani:

      After our breakfast, we will start our trek and enter the Manang district. We will also cross a large bridge near Tal. The trail continues via the rice fields, potato and barley fields. After passing the village of Kodo, we will reach Dharapani. Overnight at Dharapani.

      Day 05: Dharapani to Chame:

      Today, we negotiate a few steep forested ridges along with several landslides on route on the west. On the way to Chame, we encounter with the most sensational views of LamjungHimal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV (7,525m/24,688ft). Small hot springs add relief on our long day hard trek. Chameis the administrative centre of the Manang District.

      Day 06: Chame to Pisang:

      Trekking through a steep and narrow path through the dense forests will bring us to the dramatic curved face rising at an altitude of 1500m. As we continue via the trail, you will be welcomed by the majestic view of mountain ranges. Trekking forward will take us to Pisang.

      Day 07: Upper Pisang to Manang:

      There are two routes that we can follow today. If taken upper route (Himalayan Glacier recommends), i.e., the route through Upper Pisang via Geru, the sceneries will be outstanding. One can get an opportunity to do the sightseeing of many peaks including Annapurna, Pisang Peak and other many beautiful peaks. Trekking ahead following the rocky route will take us to Manang.

      Day 08: Acclimatization at Manang:

      Today will be our acclimatizing day at Manang. We will make an excursion to a nearby village known as Vraga. This village gives you an opportunity to do the sightseeing of ancient monasteries. We will relax on this day as next two days are going to a bit tiring and challenging.

      Day 09: Manang to Leder:

      From Manang, we continue through alpine landscapes with high altitude vegetation and forests. A gradual ascent takes us to Yak Kharka and then to our today’s camp. Our today’s camp area is most used as the alpine pasture by the local people.

      Day 10: Leder to Chulu West Base Camp:

      Today we will continue our trek to reach the base camp of Chulu peak. One can get a pre-opportunity to do the sightseeing of majestic mountain ranges including some of the highest mountain ranges of the world such as Everest, Annapurna, Lhotse, Makalu and other many beautiful mountain ranges.

      Day 11: Chulu West Base Camp to Camp I:

      On today’s day, we will continue to hike to reach Camp I form the base camp of Chulu peak. Although this route is not that technical but due to the higher altitudes it may be a bit challenging.

      Day 12: Acclimatization at Camp I:

      Today will be the rest day at Camp I. While we are resting, the camping guides and leaders will make way to reach the camp II and supply equipment at another camp. We have to rest an be prepared for the challenging climb.

      Day 13: Camp I to Camp II:

      Today, we will leave the camp I and trek via the rocky trail to reach Camp II. We will have to use axe, crampons and snow shoes to reach Camp II. After that we will set our tents at Camp II and then overnight at Camp II.

      Day 14: Summit Chulu West and back to Camp I:
      Today is going to be a big day of our trek as we will ascend to reach the summit of Chulu West. This is going to be more challenging as there are the chances of ice falls and heavy snow. After reaching the summit, we will be back to Camp I via Camp II. Overnight at Camp I.

      Day 15: Camp I to Leder:

      We will then return to Leder which is a steep descend. One can enjoy the spectacular views of mountain ranges including Everest, Annapurna, Makalu and other many mountain ranges, Overnight at Leder.

      Day 16: Leder to ThorongPhedi:

      Today we will clean the base camp and head to reach ThorongPhedi. This is an easy walk as will be descending via a hill.  Overnight at ThorongPhedi.

      Day 17: ThorngPhedi – Jomsom:

      Today we will be trekking via a long route as we will cross the famous Thorong la pass and then reach Muktinath. We will do the sightseeing of famous Muktinath temple and trek ahead to reach Jomsom. We will travel via a bus to reach Jomsom form Muktinath.
      Day 18: Jomsom to Kathmandu:

      After our morning breakfast, we will do the sightseeing of Jomsom and then fly back to Kathmandu via a chartered flight. You can do the sightseeing of Kathmandu valley on the remaining day. Later at evening, you will have a farewell dinner organized by Utmost Adventure. Overnight at Kathmandu.

      Day 19: Departure Day;

      Tiday will be the last day of our trip as you will be transferred to the Tribhuvan International Airport and then sent to your own home country.
