      Everest High Passes Trek

      Everest High Passes Trek, also known as Everest 3 passes trek takes the trekkers to the 3 of the famous passes of Everest region which include the Kongma La Pass (5535m), Cho La Pass (5420m) and Renjo La Pass (5338m). You will also get an opportunity for the sightseeing of the Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, Gokyo Ri and Gokyo lake. This trek is the combination of both the panoramic views of Himalayas and an opportunity to explore the ancient Sherpa village, lifestyle and cultures.

      Everest High Passes trek is an ideal option for those trekkers who wish to trek on the Everest region and are seeking for a challenging and difficult trekking experience. One doesn’t need a technical climbing experience but requires a good physical stamina to complete this trek.  Although this trek is a difficult and challenging trek but our professional guides will show you the technique and way to cross these difficult passes.

      Everest High Passes trek starts with a scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. We will then start our trek from Lukla and pass many settlements and Sherpa villages to reach the gateway of Mt. Everest (Namche Bazar). We will then trek via the Thyangboche monastery and reach Dingboche from where we will trek ahead to reach the Kongma La Pass. You can do the sightseeing of some of the famous mountain ranges of our country from this pass. We will then descend to the Khumbu glacier and then ascend to Kalapatthar.

      Kalapatthar is the best viewpoint of Everest region which offers the majestic views of mountain ranges including Everest (Highest mountain of the world), Annapurna, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Amadablam, Nuptse and other many mountains. We will then cross the second pass of our trek i.e. Cho La pass and then reach to Gokyo Ri and do the sightseeing of Gokyo lake. Trekking ahead will lead us to the highest and last pass f our trek i.e. the Renjo La pass. We will then descend to Thame from where we will trek back tyo Namche Bazar and return to Lukla for our flight.

      Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1400m):

      Namaste and welcome to the country of Nepal. You will be welcomed by our representative at the Tribhuvan International Airport and then transferred to our hotel in Kathmandu. At evening, you will be welcomed by an authentic Nepalese cuisine in one of the typical Nepalese restaurants of Thamel and then we will do a briefing about the itinerary of our trip. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

      Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing including Bhaktapur and Lalitpur:

      After an early morning breakfast, we will head towards the beautiful and ancient places of Kathmandu valley which includes the world heritage sites, temples, places and other many beautiful things. Talking about Kathmandu, this place is a paradise to the tourists of all over the world and one can get an opportunity to relax his/her body form head to toe by doing the sightseeing of some of the iconic things of the world. You will be taken to Pashupatinath temple which is one of the most religious and historical temples of Kathmandu. Thousands of devotees from Nepal, India and all over the world come to this ancient temple for their rituals and celebrations. After the visit of Pashupatinath, we will drive for 15-20 minutes to do the sightseeing of Bouddhanath stupa. After exploring these historical monuments, we will be doing the sightseeing of ancient Durbar squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Visiting Lalitpur and Bhaktapur will give you an opportunity to see the living goddess, Kumari and explore the ancient streets filled with arts and architects. A refreshing evening walk on the streets of Thamel and Basantapur will make you feel Kathmandu a really cool and historical place and you will also explore lots of new things in these streets. At afternoon, we will be back to our hotel and do the briefing of Everest Expedition trip. You will be guided about some of the important rules and suggestions for the trip such as what is your responsibility, what to do and what not to do on the trek? You will be then introduced to your fellow expedition staffs and guides and relax the hotel after dinner. Overnight at Hotel.

      Day 03: Mountain flight to Lukla (2800m) and Trek to Phakding (2600m): 

      You will take an early morning flight to Lukla. This 25minute short mountain flight gives you a pre-opportunity to do the sightseeing of Himalayan ranges from the aircraft. Once you reach Lukla you will take a short break and then trek to Phakding which takes about 3 hours. Overnight at tea house lodge.

      Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazar (3440m):

      Today is going to be an exciting day of our trip as we will trek along the bank of DudhKoshi river. We will trek to the gateway of Everest, Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar also known as the “Thamel of Everest” is a luxurious valley in the Khumbu region which has a numerous number of hotels, restaurants, lodges, spas, Atm’s and other many luxurious things. We will then trek to Manjo and then check for a permit and stay overnight at a tea house lodge

      Day 05: Acclimatization in Namche Bazar:

      Today is our acclimatization day and we will do the sightseeing of different nearby authentic villages of Thame and Khumjung. Exploring these villages and trails will give you an opportunity to view some of the beautiful snowcapped Himalayan peaks including Mt. Thamaserku(6608 m), Ama-Dablam (6856 m), Mt. Lhotse (8510m), Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Nuptse (7861m), Island Peak (6189m), Tobuche (6367m) and many other beautiful mountain ranges. Overnight at a tea house lodge.

      Day 06: Namche Bazar to Tengboche:

      We will be walking about 5hrs to reach Tengboche from Namhe Bazar. You will get an opportunity to do the sightseeing of some of the highest mountain ranges of the world such as Everest, Lhoste, Nuptse and AmaDablam. We will then take a steep descent towards a bridge over DudhKoshi river. Trekking via the dense rhododendron and oak forests will take us to Thengboce. This place is the home of the largest monastery of Khumbu region, Tengboche Monastery. You will get an opportunity to do the sightseeing of this beautiful and ancient monastery.       Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche:

      We will be walking about 5hrs to reach Dingboche leaving Tengboche behind. This is first going to be an easy descent through the dense forests and then we will cross a suspension bridge over the Imja Kola. We will then start the bit difficult and steady climb to Pheriche and then to Pangboche. You will be strolling through the ancient houses of Sherpa people and you will also get an awesome opportunity to explore the ancient monasteries and stupas of this place. Trekking ahead via ancient Sherpa settlements will take us to Dingboche where we will acclimatize to adapt on the higher altitudes. Overnight at a tea house.

       

      Day 08: Acclimatization day at Dinboche – Nangkartshang trip:

      We will be taking rest to acclimatize on the higher altitudes on today’s day. You will get an option to hike to Nangkartshang Ri which stands at a height of 5070m above the sea level. This place offers the visitors with the superb views of magnificent Himalayan ranges includingLhotse, Island Peak, Kali Himal, Amadablam and a pre-opportunity to do the sightseeing of Everest. Overnight at a tea house.

       

      Day 09: Dingboche to Chhukhung:

      We will be trekking to the Chhhukhung village passing many Sherpa settlements and ancient stupas. Feel free to explore the Chhukhung village with the superb views of Himalayan ranges. Overnight at a tea house.

       

      Day 10: Chhukhung to Lobuche via Kongma La Pass:

      Leaving Chukhung behind and then crossing the famous Kongma La Pass will take us to Lobuche which is a beautiful and ancient Sherpa village in the Khumbu region. We will start our early morning trek and cross the highest point of the entire trip, Kongma La Pass which stands at a height of 5535m. We will be trekking about 8-9 hours to cross this pass and reach Lobuche. From the top of this pass, you will see spectacular views of mountain ranges and the famous Khumbu glacier. Trekking ahead from this pass will take us to Lobuche. Overnight at a tea house.

       

      Day 11: Lobuche to EBC – Gorakshep:

      After the breakfast we will walk down to Lobuche and join the famous Everest Base Camp route. We will then walk in the Khumbu valley alongside of Khumbu Glacier to reach Gorakshep. Overnight at Tea house / Lodge.

      Day 12: Gorakshep to Kalapatthar – Dzonglha:

      Today we will be climbing about 5hrs to reach the famous viewpoint Kalapatthar. This view point offers a closer and majestic view of snowcapped mountains including some of the highest mountain ranges of the world such as Annapurna, Lhotse, Pumori, Amadblam, Makalu, Manaslu and a closer view of the highest mountain of the world, Mt. Everest. We will then walk back to Dzonglha via Lobuche. Overnight at Tea house.

      Day 13: Dzonglha to Chola Pass – Thangnak:

      We are going to do a quite long trek as we will be trekking about 8hrs to reach Thangnak. We will start our trip with pre-packed lunch and then trek uphill and head eastwards and climb the famous Chola Pass. It’s going to be a bit tiring trek as we have to trek on the ice and sometimes with deep snow. Trekking ahead form Chola Pass will take us to Thangnak. Overnight at Tea house.

      Day 14: Thangnak to Gokyo:

      Leaving Thangnak behind and walking for only 2 hours will take us to Gokyo where we get an opportunity to explore the nearby places of the beautiful Gokyo valley. Overnight at Tea House.

      Day 15: Sight trip to Gokyo Ri:

      We will explore the beautiful Gokyo valley on today’s day. Walking about 3hrs will gave us a good opportunity to explore the hidden treasures of this beautiful valley. Early morning hike to Gokyo Ri gives us an opportunity to do the sightseeing of beautiful Gokyo lakes. This place also gives us an opportunity to do the sightseeing of beautiful mountain ranges including Everest. Overnight at Tea house.

      Day 16: Gokyo to Marlung via RenjoPass:

      After our breakfast, we will continue trek to cross the Renjo Pass. The first part is quite easy and this pass offers the best views of Himalayan ranges including some of the highest mountain ranges such as Everest. We will then trek via a stone staircase; the presence of ice and snow will make this descend quite challenging. We will pass the famous RelamaTsho and Renjo lake on the trail. Trekking ahead will lead us to Marlung. Overnight at a tea house.

      Day 17: Merlung to Namche Bazar:

      Trekking about 5hrs from Merlung will take us to Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar, the gateway of Everest is a beautiful to stroll and relax as there are a number of luxurious hotels, bars, restaurants, spas, etc. We will cross the ancient Thame village to reach Namche Bazar. Overnight at Tea house.

      Day 18: Namche Bazar to Lukla:

      We will trek back to Lukla today. We will finish our great journey at about 6 hours from the highest mountain. Overnight at tea house lodge

      Day 19: Fly back to Kathmandu:

      Early morning fly back to Kathmandu. You will have a free day for shopping and you can also explore the streets of Kathmandu.

      Day 20: Departure day:

      Today will be the last day of our trip. You will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport and then departure to your respective country.
