Homraj, known to his friends as Raju, comes from village of Sishuwa Khola in the Sankhuwasabha District, home to the 5th highest mountain in the world, Makalu. Raju started his career as a cook on several Everest expeditions before transitioning to a trekking guide. As a licensed trekking guide with 10 years of experience, he has lead groups through the Khumbu, Around Manaslu, Langtang, Annapurna, and upper Mustang. Raju loves being outside, hiking and trekking in the mountains, but when he has the time he also enjoys going to the movies, especially action movies.
