      This straight forward trek is one of the easiest and less challenging treks of our country. One with good physical stamina and positive attitude towards the Himalayas can easily complete this trek.

      Isalnd peak trek gives an awesome opportunity to explore the hidden treasures of the Khumbu region along with the sightseeing of some of the highest mountain ranges of the world. The trek takes the trekkers to the heart of the Khumbu region and offers many majestic things to the visitors.

       

      Day1: Arrival at Kathmandu.

      Namaste and welcome to the country of Nepal. You will be welcomed by our representative at the Tribhuvan International Airport and then transferred to our hotel in Kathmandu. At evening, you will be welcomed by an authentic Nepalese cuisine in one of the typical Nepalese restaurants of Thamel and then we will do a briefing about the itinerary of our trip. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

      Day 02: Kathmandu Kathmandu valley sightseeing & trek preparation:

      After an early morning breakfast, we will head towards the beautiful and ancient places of Kathmandu valley which includes the world heritage sites, temples, places and other many beautiful things. Talking about Kathmandu, this place is a paradise to the tourists of all over the world and one can get an opportunity to relax his/her body from head to toe by doing the sightseeing of some of the iconic things of the world. You will be taken to Pashupatinath temple which is one of the most religious and historical temples of Kathmandu. Thousands of devotees from Nepal, India and all over the world come to this ancient temple for their rituals and celebrations. After the visit of Pashupatinath, we will drive for 15-20 minutes to do the sightseeing of Boudhanath stupa.

      After exploring these historical monuments, we will be doing the sightseeing of ancient Durbar squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. Visiting Lalitpur and Bhaktapur will give you an opportunity to see the living goddess, Kumari and explore the ancient streets filled with arts and architects. A refreshing evening walk on the streets of Thamel and Basantapur will make you feel Kathmandu a really cool and historical place and you will also explore lots of new things in these streets. At afternoon, we will be back to our hotel and do the briefing of the Everest Expedition trip. You will be guided about some of the important rules and suggestions for the trip such as what is your responsibility, what to do and what not to do on the trek? You will be then introduced to your fellow expedition staffs and guides and relax the hotel after dinner. Overnight at Hotel.

      Day 03: Morning flight to Lukla (2800m) and Trek to Phakding (2600m): 

      You will take an early morning flight to Lukla. This 25minute short mountain flight gives you a per-opportunity to do the sightseeing of Himalayan ranges from the aircraft. Once you reach Lukla you will take a short break and then trek to Phakding which takes about 3 hours. Overnight at tea house lodge

      Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazar (3440m):

      Today is going to be an exciting day of our trip as we will trek along the bank of Dudh Koshi river. We will trek to the gateway of Everest, Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar also is known as the “Thamel of Everest” is a luxurious valley in the Khumbu region which has a numerous number of hotels, restaurants, lodges, spas, Atm’s and other many luxurious things. We will then trek to Manjo and then check for a permit and stay overnight at a tea house lodge.

      Day 05: Namche Bazar (3440m):

      Today is our acclimatization day and we will do the sightseeing of different nearby authentic villages of Thame and Khumjung. Exploring these villages and trails will give you an opportunity to view some of the beautiful snowcapped Himalayan peaks including Mt. Thamaserku(6608 m), Ama-Dablam (6856 m), Mt. Lhotse (8510m), Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Nuptse (7861m), Island Peak (6189m), Tobuche (6367m) and many other beautiful mountain ranges. Overnight at a tea house lodge.

      Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3870m):

      We will start our journey in the early morning and one will get an opportunity to see the magnificent views of sunrays striking on Mt. Everest. One can get an opportunity to do the sightseeing of other beautiful mountains such as Lhotse, Nuptse, Amadablam, Annapurna, etc. We will continue our steep descent towards a bridge over Dudhkoshi river and then walk via the dense rhododendron and oak forests. After reaching Tengboche, we will do the sightseeing of the ancient Tengboche monastery. Overnight at Tea house.

      Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche (4389m):

      Today’s trek will be an easy descent through the dense rhododendron forests and then towards a suspension bridge over the ImjaKhola. We will trek about 5 hours to reach Dingboche which includes the steep climb to Pheriche passing Pangboche. You will get an opportunity to do the sightseeing of ancient houses and Sherpa people of this beautiful valley. Trekking ahead will take us to Dingboche and then we stay at a Tea House for overnight.

      Day 08: Dingboche Acclimatization day:

      Explore to the Chhukung Village (4756m), great views of Lhotse, Island Peak, Kali Himal. Overnight at Tea house Lodge.

      • Day 09: Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m): 

      Today we will be walking about 4 hours to reach Lobuche. It is a relatively easier walk as we will walk along the Khumbu glacier which is located at Lobuche. We will also do the sightseeing of Italian Research Camp and view the snowcapped mountains including Nuptse, Pumori (7165m), Khumbu Ice Fall etc. Overnight at tea house lodge.

      Day 10: Lobuche to EBC- Ghorakshep  (5190m):

      We will be walking alongside the Khumbu glacier and after Gorakshep we will be walking along the glacier. Due to higher altitude, it is difficult to breathe and we will spend some time at the Everest Base Camp and then return back at Gorakshep. Overnight at a tea house lodge.

      Day 11: Gorakshep to Pheriche (4910m):

      About 6 – 7 hrs walk. Morning climb up to Kala Pathar (5545m – best view point) and trek down to Lobuche. Overnight at Tea house / Lodge.

      • Day 12: Lobuche to Chhukung (4730 m)- via Kongma La Pass (5535m)

      Crossing the Khumbu glacier will take us to Kong Ma La which will provide a legendary experience to the visitors and one can do the sightseeing of some of the beautiful mountain ranges while walking at the trail to reach Chhukung. We will then descend via the steep rock and reach Chhukung. Overnight at Tea house.

      Day 13: Chhukung to Island peak Base Camp (4970m):

      Today’s walk is going to be a bit interesting and comfortable as we will be walking to reach the base camp of Island Peak. You will be given basic training and climbing courses at the base camp. One with a good physical stamina and little bit of climbing experience can easily climb to the summit of the Island peak. Overnight at tented camp.

      Day 14: Pre -training and preparation day for the summit.

      We will be doing the pre-climbing training and preparation for the summit on this day.After breakfast, we will begin our pre-climb training. You will be helped and guided by our professional guides and they will instruct you about the proper ways of using the ice axe, climbing boots and harness, crampons, ascender. The training will also include using ropes to go up and down. After the preparation and training, we will spend the rest day walking around and resting for the big climb. Overnight at Tented camp.

      Day 15: High Camp to Island peak (6183 m) & back to Base Camp (4970 m):

      Today is going to be a big day as it is the day we were looking for the whole trip. We will start the less challenging climb to reach the summit of Island peak. We will wake up around 1 am and eat our breakfast and set off for the climb. First it will be a short and easy trek and then there will be a steep hill climb to the high camp. After the high camp we will climb the rocky path then follow the snowy path to the summit glacier. Climbing through ropes will lead us to the summit of Island peak which provides the spectacular views of mountain ranges that will surely mesmerize you. After the sightseeing, we will be back to our base camp. Overnight at a tented camp.

      Day 16: Island Peak Base Camp to Pangboche (3800m):

      We will descend about 4-5 hours to reach Pangboche. This is going to be an easy descend with the superb views of mountain ranges and Sherpa settlements. Overnight at Tea House.

      Day 17: Pangboche to Namche (3440m):

      Trekking about 4-5 hours will bring us to Namche, the gateway of Everest. You can explore the streets, people, lifestyle and culture of Namche Bazar. Overnight at Tea House.

      Day 18: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2830m):

      Today’s trek is going to be a bit longer trek as we will be trekking about 6-7 hours to reach Lukla. This is going to be a long and easy walk.

      Day 19: Flight back to Kathmandu (1400m):

      Morning fly back to Kathmandu. Free day for shopping. Overnight at hotel.

      • Day 20: Departure

      Transfer to the airport for final departure.

      You will also get an opportunity to explore the ancient and authentic lifestyle, culture and traditions of Sherpa and Magar settlements that are living in this region since many years.Some of the major attractions of this trek are the Sagarmatha National Park, opportunity to explore the ancient Sherpa and Magar settlements, unique and dramatic landscapes, Namche Bazar (Gateway of Everest), Kalapatthar (Famous viewpoint of Khumbu region), Everest Base Camp, Khumbu Ice Falls and other many majestic things of Khumbu region.

      Island peak trek starts with a scenic flight to Lukla. We will then trek to Khumjung and reach the gateway of Everest, Namche Bazar. We will then trek to the beautiful Gokyo valley and do the sightseeing of Gokyo Ri and Gokyo lake.

      We will then trek on the famous and more crowded route of Everest Base camp and pass Lobuche to reach the base camp of Everest. Trekking ahead from the base camp will lead us to Kalapatthar from where we can see a closer and crystal-clear view of mountain ranges. We will then climb ahead to reach the summit of this beautiful peak.
