Mardi Himal Peak
The area is a much quieter and short colorful venture into the Annapurna region. The trail passes through patchwork valleys, dense mossy forests, raging rivers and waterfalls where you can stop to cool yourself.
Day 01- Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome to Nepal! Visit Nepal 2020 representative will meet you at the airport and bring you to your hotel in Kathmandu. You can take a rest or if you are arriving earlier, can visit around the city.
In the evening we will hold a briefing session regarding your trip and get to know your Nepali trekking companion. We’ll be happy to answer any question you may have. O/N Hotel.
Day 02 – Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara
At around 7am you’ll leave Kathmandu to reach Pokhara through green valley, Trisuli River alongside and scattered villages. It takes 6-7 to reach Pokhara. You check-in at your hotel, freshen up and have lunch. Walking along the Lakeside would be a good idea for the evening. You are advised to get some good sleep to begin trekking next day. Day 03 – Drive Pokhara to Phedi and trek to Pothana (1925m). 4 hrs
After breakfast, we drive and heat to Phedi and start trek to Pothana, first night stop. O/N Teahouse (BLD)
Day 04 – Pothana to Forest Camp. 5-6 hrs
After walking for sometimes, you will arrive to Pitam deurali from where we leave Annapurna base camp route and continue trail through peace dense forest of hemlock, rhododendron, maple, oak. We the reach at Forest camp built by local clearing the forest. Local call this place as Kokar. Here lodge are very basic and more like homestay. O/N Camping (BLD)
Day 05 – Forest Camp to Bhaisi Kharka 5-6 hrs
The trail continue through forest. We will notice the changing of vegetation starts to appear and trees are covered with moss, tree ferns and lichen. There are few basic lodge in Bhaisi Kharka. You can enjoy viewing Mt. Machhapuchhre up the valley. O/N Camping (BLD)
Day 06 – Bhaisi Kharka to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4100m) 5-6 hrs
Walking for about hour, the trail breaks above tree line continuing towards the west where good view of Annapurna south and hiunchuli welcomes. If you are lucky, might view Danphe pheasant, national flower of Nepal. After about 4 hour of walk bring you to Mardi Himal Base camp. O/N Camping (BLD)
Day 07 – Mardi BC to Mardi Himal Summit (5587m). Back to Base Camp
Finally, the summit day today. We wake up early to climb the peak. We target to stand on summit before afternoon and be back in Base camp. O/N Camping (BLD)
Day 08 – Contingency or spare day
Contingency day in case of bad weather. If good weather we retrace our way back.

Day 09 – Base camp to Forest Camp. 5 hrs
We retrace our way back to the forest camp. O/N Camping (BLD)
Day 10 – Forest camp to Siding village (1750m). 6 hrs
After we reach our main destination, we follow different trail to return. Siding is traditional Nepalese village just emerging to serve the tourist coming through. It is much like home stay. We take short trip around the village and enjoy Dal bhat with family in their kitchen. O/N teahouse/homestay (BLD)
Day 11 – Siding to Lumre. 3hrs and drive to Pokhara. 2 hrs
We start walking passing through Kalimati and Ghalel village. Kalimati is Brahmin village whereas Ghalel and siding are mix Brahmin and Gurung village. From Lumre, we drive back to Pokhara by jeep. O/N Hotel (BL)
Day 12 – Rest and relax in Pokhara
It’s all up to you visiting different places around Pokhara valley such as Fewa Lake, Devi’s water fall, Museum, Tibetan refugee settlement, Gupteshower cave and many more places as per the choice. O/N Hotel (B)
Day 13 – Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu
It takes 7hrs long drive along Trisuli river and various settlements to get back to Kathmandu.
You can spend time resting/buying souvenirs back to home. In the evening, we will host farewell dinner in traditional restaurant with cultural dance performances in celebration of your amazing trip. O/N Hotel (BD)
Day 14 – Trip ends, farewell and departure
The journey in the mountains of Nepal comes to an end today ! At last approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight, a representative from Ramdung Expedition will drop you to the airport. (B)
Extra days: Ramdung can offer you plenty of suggestions, if you wish to stay more days in Nepal. We arrange day tours inside historic city of Kathmandu valley, the mountain hill stations Nagarkot and Dhulikhel, rafting and jungle safari packages, helicopter and mountain flights tour etc.

Mardi Himal Peak
Mardi Himal is the name given from long rising ridge and its summit from south-westerly lower slope of Mount Machhapuchhare or Fishtail. The area is much quieter and short colorful venture into the Annapurna region. The trail passes through patchwork valleys, dense mossy forests, raging rivers and waterfalls where you can stop to cool yourself. Around every corner is a tantalizing glimpse of the high mountains, whole horizons of which will be revealed to you as you reach the high points of your trek. Now lodges are built by friendly local making this trek as lodge/teahouse trekking. We’ll experience off the bitten eco-tourism and reach until high camp at 4,100m and get close views of 5 of the 14 highest mountains in the world.
